UPSC CIVIL SERVICES EXAM-2015

Civil Services Examination for recruitment to the various Services and Posts  will be held by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) on 23rd August, 2015.

Plan of Examination :
The Civil Services Examination will consist of two successive stages
(i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination; 
(ii) Civil Services (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various Services and posts noted above.

Eligibility Conditions :
Age Limits : A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the
age of 32 years on the 1st of August, 2015. There is also relaxation in upper age upto 3 years for OBC  and upto 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Minimum Educational Qualifications :

  A candidate must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation in any stream from recognised college or university.

Limit of Number of attempts :
1. for General category: 6 attempts
2. OBC category: 9 attempts
3. for SC/ST category: No limit

FEE :
Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/PH Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only)

The Online applications(Part I and II) can be filled from 23rd May, 2015 to 19th June, 2015 till 11.59 p.m.,

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR UPSC EXAM

Important Instructions for Exam:

1. Check the e-Admit Card carefully and bring discrepancies, if any, to the notice of UPSC immediately.
2. Mention your Name, Roll Number,Registration ID and Name & Year of the Examination in all the correspondence with UPSC.
3. Bring this e-Admit Card in each session to secure admission to Examination Hall. e-Admit Card may be preserved till the declaration of written result .
4. You are responsible for safe custody of the e-Admit Card and in the event of any other person using this e-Admit Card , the onus lies on you to prove that you have not used the service of any impersonator.
5. Enter the Examination Hall 20 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the examination.
6. You will not be admitted to the examination if you report 10 minutes after the scheduled commencement of the examination .
7. If you appear at a centre / sub-centre other than the one indicated by the Commission in your e-Admit Card , your answer scripts will not be evaluated and your candidature is liable to be cancelled.
8. Please Read the "Instructions at Appendix-III &" “Rules for the Examination" Published in the Employment News and "Poster containing instructions displayed outside the Examination Hall.
9. Your candidature to the examination is provisional.
10. Battery operated pocket calculators of "non programmable" type are permitted for use during conventional type papers only.
11. There will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the objective type Question Papers.
12. Candidates are advised to bring Black Ball Point Pen for objective type Papers to the Examination Hall.
13. Answers other than those made by BLACK BALL POINT PEN for objective type Papers would not be evaluated.

DOWNLOAD ADMIT CARD FOR UPSC IES-2015

UPSC has released the admit card for UPSC IES exam. Candidates who has applied for Engineering Services Exam can download admit card before 14-june-2015.

Technical Instructions Before Download the Admit card1. Admit Card Application is best suitable on latest versions of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox Browsers.
2. Javascript should be enabled on your browser.
3. Do not use mobile or other gadgets for downloading e-ADMITCARD.Preferably use Windows OS on Desktop Machine.
4. If you are having problem in downloading e-Admitcard using suggested browsers then clear the cache and cookies of browser using browser setting. In case if you are still unable to download the e-Admitcard then please try to download the admitcard using other computer machine.
5. If the candidate is blocked by the server in case of repetitive downloading please contact UPSC ADMINISTRATOR immediately through e-mail: - web-upsc@nic.in to unblock the downloading.

CHANGES IN SBI PO EXAM PATTERN-2015

SBI(STATE BANK OF INDIA) has changed the pattern of it Probationary Officers Exam from 2015.

SBI has changed the exam pattern of the SBI PO Examination 2015. So like IBPS SBI has also changed Exam Pattern of its popular SBI PO Exam. We are here providing you the latest Pattern of SBI PO 2015

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination: Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing passing marks to be decided by the Bank.

Phase II: Main Examination: Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered.

(i) Objective Test: The Objective Test of 2 hour duration consists of 4 Sections with 50 marks each (Total 200 marks) as follows:

a) Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc.)

b) Test of General Awareness, Marketing &Computers

c) Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation

d) Test of Reasoning (High Level)

The candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.

(ii) Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test of 1 hour duration with 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).

The candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.

Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in objective test.

Phase III: Group Discussion (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks)

The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the Objective Tests and Descriptive Test will be arranged in descending order in each category. Adequate number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will be called for Group Discussion and Interview. The qualifying marks in Group Discussion &Interview will be as decided by the Bank.

Final Selection

The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for the selection and only the marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II) will be added to the marks obtained in GD & Interview (Phase-III) for preparation of the final merit list. The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-II and Phase-III separately. Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion & Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Discussion &Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.
